BLACKBOX have been busy. Loving live music is not a passive thing and we couldn't sit back and watch the industry that we love disintegrate. So, faced with the challenges of the Covid 19 pandemic, we have diversified, innovated and invested. We have worked with Glasgow Jazz Festival to create the first venue based virtual music festival in Scotland, ( or the first we know of ) myplayer.uk/jazz
Developing a digital platform for hosting the event, and integrating our existing expertise in live audio production with new video and streaming technology to provide a one stop shop for broadcast quality audio and video for both the live and the virtual environment.
BLACKBOX has teamed up with Quartz Group to produce myplayer.uk, a platform for music and culture of all shapes and sizes. The aim is to offer the complete facility so that concerts and other events can either be streamed live or recorded as live for showing later.
The platform offers the ability to show content, free of charge; paid for by way of our paywall or utilising third party donate pages such as Go Fund Me or PayPal. Additionally an event can have a launch date and time with a countdown timer for visitors checking in before launch.
BLACKBOX has a reputation for delivering high production values and this new branch of our services is no exception. Utilising the best equipment from Blackmagic Design, Sony, Apple and Panasonic and applying innovative cabling solutions from VDC means that we consistently deliver a quality product.
Venues throughout Scotland and UK are feeling the impact of COVID 19 and so we aim to offer packages to suit, whatever the size of the venue. Venue capacity doesn't limit the number of subscribers you can attract and neither does the location, so utilising this technology instantly opens up your event to a global audience.
